February 13th to 17th 2015 marks the date when Carnival will be celebrated this year in Malta. Carnival is a popular tradition dating hundreds of years, indeed, even during the time of the Knights it was celebrated one week before, up to Ash Wednesday.
In the video below (after “Read More”), Pawlu l-Pampalun (Paul Curmi) – one of the great masters of Malta’s Carnival – declares that he is 83 years old and at Carnival he becomes a child again..
The Malta Carnival 2014 was held between the 27th February and 4th March 2014.

The carnival in summer this year is being organised by the Carnival Committee and supported by the Parliamentary Secretariat for Culture, the Malta Council for Culture and the Arts, the MTA, St Paul’s Bay local council and the Malta Hotels and Restaurants Association. Last year it was not organised. The previous 2 years it was organised as a private initiative. All photos uploaded. Videos to be posted later on.
