Worldwide panic among users as Facebook stops working for some minutes

A few minutes ago, Facebook had a worldwide outage. Users all over the world found it impossible to post anything on their timelines, pages and groups.
Many users started panicking when they saw the following error message (see photo) which blocked users from using Mark Zuckerberg’s platform.
It took a number of minutes for Facebook’s technicians to solve the problem and get Facebook back online.
From our tests, tweets and posts on Google+, it seems that on the Internet Facebook was temporarily unreachable from all over the world for around 30 minutes. It affected other sites such as Socialbakers.

Europe-wide this weekend, Malta voted for six MEP seats which were up for grabs in the european parliament elections.
Austria’s Conchita wins Eurovision 2014 Final – Malta in 23rd Place

Firelight has made it to the Final of Eurovision 2014.. They will be singing “Coming Home” tonight.
Firelight is a folk band, which was set up in 2013. Richard, their lead singer tried out for The X Factor UK the same year Leona Lewis won, making it through to bootcamp.
It represented Malta in Eurovision 2014.
Malta ended up in 23rd place with a total of 32 votes. Very much unlike last year when Gianluca Bezzina ended up in 8th place.
Malta received 10 points from the UK and 12 from Italy. We gave 12 points to Italy too.
Conchita Wurst from Austria has won this year’s Eurovision with the ballad “Rise Like A Phoenix”.
