What to do and see in Hammersmith London, after the pandemic

While now you can’t really enjoy travel without quarantine periods, the news about the vaccine means that one can hope for more normality in travel in the future. Why not plan a post-pandemic trip? Here are some tips based mainly on my personal experience. Let me give you my recommendation on what to do and see in Hammersmith, London, UK.

Last year in 2019 I visited London, based in the Hammersmith area, because I wanted to attend the London Movie and Comic Con 2019. You can check out my videos on YouTube here.

A good hotel I recommend is Holiday Inn Express.

So, what can you do here?

  1. Visit other parts of London!

First of all, it’s easy to use public transport like Buses or the London Underground to get to other areas of London, and go to places like the British Museum or Madame Tussauds. Alternatively you can use the FREE NOW (mytaxi) app or the Bolt app to call a taxi. The former uses Black cabs. I used both. Uber is once more available, too, but I did not try that.

2. Visit the main street, King Street.

The main street King Street, is full of great shops. You find restaurants, and all sorts of shops. There is even a shopping Mall. I recommend eating out at Nando’s for a great experience. Try their peri peri chicken.

On Thursdays there is even a Food Market.

3. The Eventim Apollo

The Apollo is located in 45 Queen Caroline Street.  This is an amazing Art Deco building. The architect Robert Cromie designed it. It was opened to the public back in 1932. Kate Bush played a live concert here, and many other famous artists played too on other occasions.

4. The Hammersmith Bridge

This is a beautiful bridge to visit. It was opened in 1887.

5. The Thames

The Thames Path is 184 miles long. Hammersmith of course is on this path.

Enjoy the scenery, walk along this north river bank.
